1. WinRAR warns all readers of Google AdWords fraud
It has come to our attention that someone is using the WinRAR name to spread a malware infected winrar.exe installer through Google AdWords.
After installing the modified WinRAR, a malware is executed which opens a pop-up every minute with the content "intervalhehehe".
While searching for this problem in Google you will find different forum posts confirming the existence of this malware.
The tricky part is that the malware changes the local host file to direct popular home pages like yahoo.com or google.com to a fake "Microsoft Security Center" website.
This page offers a "free" system scan and eventually an anti-spyware software for sale to clean the "intervalhehehe" malware.
We warn our readers not to be fooled by this fraudulent GoogleAd and the "intervalhehehe" malware.
To ensure you are downloading the correct version of WinRAR we encourage everyone to download only from our official sites www.win-rar.com and www.rarlab.com.
Only if the true users are aware of these money making tactics from bogus website this kind of fraud can be fought and eventually eliminated.
