Extracting Files with Pocket RAR

Usually Pocket RAR is the default program to open RAR and ZIP files. So you only need to go to the folder, which contains the RAR or ZIP archive, tap on the archive and choose “Extract” from the displayed menu.

If one of these file types are not associated with Pocket RAR, you need to run Pocket RAR by tapping on the Pocket RAR icon in your Program Folder. You can also start it directly from the Windows "Start menu", but you need to have added Pocket RAR to the "Start menu" beforehand.
Please change to Pocket RAR if it is already started.

There are several ways to extract archives:

Tap on the open book icon

Choose “Extract” from the Tools menu

Tap on the marked files and choose “Extract files” from the displayed menu

Pocket RAR will then display the extracting dialog.

Then follow these steps:

Pocket RAR suggests a name for the archive based on the folder or file name, which will contain the selected files. You can change this name and also add a path by using the folder tree.
Please enable the overwrite existing files box, if your want to update old files using this archive.
Press “OK” to start the extraction of the files.
