1. WinRAR 3.50 beta 2 Released!
Version 3.50 beta 2
1. Bugs fixed:
a) when selecting a not default theme, some of localized SFX modules switched to English language;
b) default compression profile settings ignored for "Test archived files" and "Lock archive" options;
c) WinRAR ignored the optional parameter of -ilog switch.

2. Theme contest: We want your themes!
Starting with WinRAR version 3.50 beta 1 it is possible to change the look of your WinRAR by installing interface themes. Theme files are available on http://www.rarlab.com/themes.htm.
In the last few days we have already received several cool looking themes from WinRAR fans.
Now we are looking for the best WinRAR themes out there.
win.rar GmbH and rarlab.com will award the three best looking themes (*) with great money prizes. The winner will receive USD 500,00, 2nd USD 300 and 3rd best theme will be awarded USD 100,00.
All themes must be sent in by the release of WinRAR 3.50 final (English version) to be considered in the competition. Please send your theme files to dev(at)rarlab.com.

3. What is a beta version?
A beta version, as opposed to a final version, is software that is undergoing its final stages in testing. We release beta versions to our customers so that the final set of bugs can be found and eliminated from WinRAR.

4. How to upgrade your old WinRAR version?
Upgrading is quick and easy. Users only need to download WinRAR 3.50 beta 1 at http://www.win-rar.com/download.html and install the newest version of WinRAR to continue using the best compression tool around!
Please close all open WinRAR archives and exit WinRAR before installing.
No complicated uninstalling of the previous version is necessary.
