1. Final version WinRAR/RAR 3.20 released,
here the highlights of the new version
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of WinRAR 3.20.
As always the upgrade to 3.20 is absolutely free to all registered users.

The highlights of the 3.2 release:
* WinRAR now works with high precision time functions!
RAR format now preserves modification, creation and last access time with the precision up to 0.0000001 second. Previous WinRAR and RAR versions stored only the file modification time and only in DOS FAT format with 2 seconds precision.
Modern file systems provide a higher precision and WinRAR, unlike other software products, already makes full use of this new feature.
* More commands available from Explorer context menu.
Now you can easily test and convert your archives directly from Explorer context menu which appears when you click the right mouse button on a file icon in Explorer or Desktop. You may enable these commands in WinRAR setting options.
* More innovative features added!
The extraction dialog has been split to "General" and "Advanced" parts, because of the new file time options to select the time fields to restore. Also the restoring of NTFS file security information can be controlled in "Set file security".It is now possible to rename files inside of RAR archives. Creating of Recovery volumes was also improved.

2. How to upgrade your old WinRAR version?
Upgrading is quick and easy. Users only need to download WinRAR 3.20 at www.rarlab.com/download.htm and install the newest version of WinRAR to continue using the best compression tool around!
Please close all open WinRAR archives and exit WinRAR before installing.
No complicated uninstalling of the previous version is necessary.

3. Do you need technical assistance?
Please feel free to search for all kinds of information on WinRAR/RAR within

At the moment our database contains 127 articles in 41 categories. The fully searchable database was developed by win.rar GmbH and contains all kinds of information on WinRAR based on our customers' demands.
It supports an easy to use category list. This capability enables users to search deeper within categories and produces more relevant results than any other directory search.
The implemented search options can be used to search all articles for specific words. Entering a query is as simple as using an internet search engine only our results are far more accurate.
It is possible to search for key words or title and content of all included articles.
Searches can be limited to command line related articles or articles based on the
graphical interface.
The knowledge base is constantly improving as we are adding more interesting
information and features.
