Excellent Fourth Quarter for win.rar GmbH

The fourth quarter of 2003 brought with it a company all time high sales record. In December 2003, win.rar GmbH achieved it’s all time high sales record since operation began in April 2002. In fact, the whole fourth quarter of 2003 was a success. Sales continued to increase all the way up through December. Just when we thought we had reached an all time high one month, the next month proved to be even more successful.
Quarterly and monthly percentage increases for 2003
Many things contributed to the impressive sales experienced in the fourth quarter of 2003. One major aspect is the growing popularity of WinRAR over the competition. To quote CHIP, the internationally renowned computer magazine: “This year the packer WinRAR made a giant leap ahead. According to the download counts conducted by CHIP Online, WinRAR has superseded the former standard, WinZip, as most popular compression software.”*
In regards to the future, we are expecting Eugene Roshal (author of WinRAR) to release the final version of WinRAR 3.3 by the end of January 2004. Version 3.3 will include many new and interesting features which should help us to further extend our lead as the best compression tool on the market.
