WinRAR at SIC St. Louis, Missouri

A delegation of three win.rar GmbH’s employees visited the Shareware Industry Conference in Saint Louis (Missouri) to participate in the celebration of the 2002’s SIC Awards.
WinRAR was nomineed as the Best Overall utility. Even though WinRAR was not able to win the prize, the delegation was proud to represent author Eugene Roshal, Russia who had made sure that his program is acknowledged as one of the best four utilities on the Shareware market.
During the conference the importance of Shareware was pointed out again. It is clearly the best way of selling a software. The procedure of allowing customers to actually try before buying a program is at the same time very customer friendly and encouraging to authors to improve their programs.
